Big Make of the Month
This month my big make was this stunning Gazania crochet circular shawl. I used a beautiful antique pattern first published in a pamphlet from 1917, how amazing is that? Making something designed over a century ago, what a privilege!Continue Reading
Spring is my favourite season of them all. I always think it’s full of promise and hope, this year in particular we could use some of that. So, as we shrug and stretch our way out of the dark winter we can welcome the light and colour that spring brings our way.Continue Reading

This year more than most we have so many things to be grateful for. There are a great many people we need to thank for the little things they do, that in more ordinary circumstances would go unnoticed. So I wanted to give you a crafty way to spread the love that doesn’t break the bank.

Comfort is Key
Hi all and Happy New Year to you. I wanted to share something with you that I’ve only just realised. After 47 years on this earth I’ve come to a conclusion. When times are tough, or the world outside is pushing its scary face too close to your window, what we cling to is comfort.Continue Reading

I am not a psychologist/therapist/councillor. I’m a sufferer. Any advice here is purely from my experience of anxiety and of what works for me. It is not meant to take the place of medication or advice from a medical professional.

My focus, what little there is of it, is all over the place. I’m never sure where I should be or what I should be doing for the best. Should I focus on family, or should I volunteer somewhere, or start looking for a REAL JOB to take some of the pressure off? Picking up a crochet hook seems so frivolous in light of the crisis going on!Continue Reading
You may have noticed that I was offline for a while. That’s because I got hacked…okay, not me exactly (that would be weird) but this lovely website I call home. I wanted to share the lessons I’ve learned after being hacked.Continue Reading
